Tiger Woods has returned to Pebble Beach, seeking a return to form from injuries and personal issues

Tiger Woods won the U.S. Open by 15 strokes and staged a miraculous final round comeback in 2000 here at Pebble Beach. The World's former longtime #1 player seems healthy now, as he attempts to regain his former status on the PGA Tour. His Thanksgiving day saga that blew up his marriage a couple years back seems to be in the rear view mirror, but his infidelity will always haunt him. The memory of that debacle is fading, and will further diminish with a return to the winners circle. He always believes a win is within his grasp, and recent play indicates that "official" victory may not be far off, with Pebble Beach being the most poetic venue for his return to prominence.
