Phil Mickelson blazed through Pebble Beach in 8 under 64 fashion Sunday to win the AT&T

Tiger Woods struggled with a closing 75, Charlie Wi who led through 3 rounds couldn't hold on, and all the challengers fell by the wayside in the wake of Phil Mickelson's dominate, virtually flawless final round to close out the event, and capture his 40th PGA Tour victory. It's lefty's 4th triumph here at Pebble, putting him one shy win shy of Mark O'meara's AT&T record. Mickelson jump started his round with an eagle at #6 to take the lead and never looked back. He did not have a bogie on his card, and closed with a birdie on the final hole to finish 17 underpar...2 clear of Charlie Wi who shot even par today. Wi birdied his final two holes to finish 2nd, but his double bogey 4-putt on the first hole at Pebble spelled doom for the Cal alum. Ricky Barnes made a charge, firing a 5 under 67, but could get no closer than 2 shots off the lead and finished 3rd. Upon erasing his 6 stroke deficit Mickelson continued to play agressive, and teamed well with his caddie Jim Mackay affectionately known as "bones". The milestone 40th career victory places Mickelson 9th all time, passing Cary Middlecoff and Tom Watson on the PGA Tour win list. It was Phil's 17th come from behind title, and earned him $1.15 million. The AT&T Tournament itself, eclipsed the $100 million mark in charity donations through the Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
