Steve Marino looks to go wire to wire at Pebble Beach, and will not be grouped with Bill Murray and D.A. Points on Sunday
A rocky one over par 71 at MPCC today, but still good enough for a one shot edge heading into Sunday's final round at Pebble Beach. Jimmy Walker who had the round of the day, a 63 on the Shore Course and Bryce Molder's 68, shot him into a tie for second with Walker at 11 underpar. Had D.A. Points shot par on #18 at Pebble, he and amateur partner Bill Murray would have played in the final group with Marino...but he bogeyed to stand 2 behind the leader. While Points embrasses Murray's antics on the course, it may have not been a good thing for Steve Marino, who is looking for his first win on the PGA tour.
