The spring skiing at Blackcomb this morning was outstanding, as was the golf at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler course at the base of the mountain. Skiing in the morning and golf in the afternoon is one of the myriad of combo sports available starting today as both the Chateau and Palmer courses at Whistler celebrated opening day. The season for skiing at Blackcomb continues through June 8th, and when Whistler mountain reopens May 17th, it will be all about mountain biking. I chatted with the golf operations manager at Chateau Whistler Nick Droulis and tourism spokesman Breton Murphy in the digital video above. We discussed the courses, ski and snowboard seasons, recreational options and other topics which makes Whistler so special as a 4 season resort.
